** Organic Arrowroot Powder is the edible starch from the "obedience plant" (Maranta arundinacea). Its use is a wonderfully natural substitute for talc or talcum powder with the benefit of anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties.
** Zea mays (corn) starch is an excellent replacement for talc in personal care formulations. It offers improved oil and moisture absorbency when compared to talc in skin. Because of its botanical nature, it is safe for topical use. In addition, since starch "rolls" as it moves over the skin, there is a perceivably better skin smoothness with Zea mays (corn) starch over talc. Organic corn starch is used in this powder.
** Baking Soda can effectively regulate pH as it keeps a substance neither too acidic nor too alkaline. It has a neutralizing property by changing the pH balance, known as buffering. This helps to get rid of odors and is one of the most effective cleansers and deodorizers.
